TMF Group is looking for an Legal Counsel Commercial Contracting (Americas) to join our USA team.

The Client Contracting Team sits within the Global Solutions division within TMF Group and has an additional reporting line into the Group Legal division. For our international Client Contracting Team we are looking for an experienced Legal Counsel to join our growing team in the USA. The Legal Counsel is responsible for providing legal advice and support to complex contract negotiations for all global business services and groups in the business, but especially for international (multi-country) contracts.

The Legal Counsel is part of Client Contracting team and will report to the Global Head of Client Contracting based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Key Responsibilities:

Juris doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school in the U.S. with a preference for a Bar admission, preferably New York, Delaware or Florida.

Minimum of 8 years relevant experience in commercial contracting.

Significant experience drafting and negotiating professional services contracts in an international company. Previous experience working in law firm a plus.

Preferably an affinity with professional outsourcing services.

Good understanding of international private law.

Strong inter-personal and negotiation skills.

Excellent communication in English and Spanish.

Key Requirements:

Excellent written/oral communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to develop, channel and maintain strong, effective working relationships with demanding internal and external clients, coupled with an ability to deal with cultural differences in negotiations.

Availability to travel, occasionally at short notice, both within the U.S. and abroad.
