Senior Fund Administrator - 6 Month FTC

The Senior Administrator will be responsible for servicing existing client funds to a high standard. As such they will have a thorough understanding of the fund structures including a high level of knowledge of the investments and investors of each fund. They will work closely with the Manager and Associate Director responsible for the fund(s) that they are assigned to and they will act as the technical expert on each client fund team.


They will often (but not always) be supported by a Trainee Administrator and, calling upon their extensive working knowledge of policies and procedures, they will be expected to support the technical development of all team members, particularly the trainees.


They will act as authorised signatories, in line with Group Procedures.


They will act as the main contact for the client and/or their advisors.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


In addition to the duties listed above, the Senior Administrator may be requested to perform any other ad hoc duties or projects as requested by the Manager. 


Technical abilities:


Building upon the essential duties and responsibilities of an Administrator, as detailed in their job description, the senior administrator will also be responsible for, but not limited to:


  1. Providing support and assistance for Administrators and Trainee Administrators and perform certain mentoring roles;
  2. Assisting with group-wide projects where senior staff input is required;
  3. Performing complex technical work on fund administration on a day to day basis and be seen as a technical expert within the team;
  4. Helping the manager to identify training needs and areas for development for Administrators / Trainees;
  5. Communicate regularly direct with the client on day to day duties and own responsibility for the execution and delivery of actions agreed as part of the client CRM plan e.g. Client plans, Action Tracker;
  6. Ideally studying towards the final stages of ICSA or ACCA or other relevant qualification
  7. Provide an excellent service level to clients and able to work with the Associate Directors to identify opportunities for new business /cross jurisdictional selling / revenue maximisation where appropriate;
  8. Promote awareness of communication between administrators and accounting both for cash and non-cash transactions;
  9. Manage reviews of process, procedure, registers etc. and assist the Manager develop effective working procedures.
  10. Help drive the rollout of State Street systems such as MYSS (, Investor café etc. 
  11. Adhere to internal controls in compliance with SOC1 requirements
  12. Adhere to local regulations and laws in the areas of compliance and CDD


Technical Knowledge / Skills Required


Dealing with high level administration tasks


Minimum Education / Qualifications




Final stages of relevant professional qualification an advantage.




Previous Experience


A senior administrator should ideally have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as an administrator and still gets involved and performs the day to day administration of the Fund structures


Management / Supervisory Responsibilities


To act as mentor to more junior staff and oversee their outputs as required.
