Job Purpose:

This job holder will be managing the HR & Payroll Services Department to drive the business forward, increase revenue, reach financial targets and maintain strong client relationships through Client Management, Business Leadership, Financial awareness, driving performance, Communication, achieving results and creativity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategize, lead and manage the HR & Payroll Services Department to achieve high profitability and efficiency in daily deliverables.
  • Fostering staff and department creativity, innovation and performance. Ensuring service excellence, timely delivery per required standard and quality of services rendered.
  • Plan and forecast the short and long-term talent requirements to support business plans. Continuous enhances a culture of values, trust and career development.
  • Appropriately prioritize the department’s goals and individual objectives to effectively achieve business objectives. Communicate frequently and openly to motivate team members to achieve operations and business goals.
  • Regular meeting with Team Manager(s) on the planning on clients portfolio on hand, manage and monitor their progress through discussion, reporting and regular follow up to close gaps and service expectations.
  • Ensure regular feedbacks and reviews on staff performance and development needed. Establish a strong leadership presence within the Department by being involved, interacting on operational floor and being approachable to all levels of staff.
  • Continually seeks opportunity to improve operations, including people, processes and technologies. Drive and implement the continuous improvement initiatives related to client accounting software, book keeping and accounting work processes.
  • Ensure clients’ expectations are met and exceeded by providing strategic direction, planning and operation expertise.
  • Responsible for budget management and understand the impact of decisions and actions based on overall company financial performance.
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Managing Director.

Key Requirements

  • 10-15 years of relevant working experience in payroll, preferably in an outsourcing environment or have managed large employees’ payroll in a multi-national company.
  • Client focused and customer sensitive service behavior.
  • Possesses a strong sense of responsibility, positive disposition, initiative, high integrity and able to work under strict deadlines.
  • Good interpersonal skills, team player, yet able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must highly oriented, organized and with exceptionally strong leadership skills
  • Good in problem solving and decision making
  • Ability to manage workplace conflicts positively, stress and crisis situations
  • Must possess high analytical, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Demonstrate high integrity and values.
  • Demonstrate the ability to see the importance of meeting client’s expectation and service standard. Good understanding of regional culture and working environment. Ability to embrace and adapt to an ever-changing priorities, business needs and regulatory requirements.
