ROLE OVERVIEW
Based out of our London office you will support the Head of Private Wealth & Family Office (JB5) with managing an interesting personal tax and trust client base, as part of a small, highly experienced team. KEY RESPONSIBILTIES
Your primary responsibility will be managing a diverse portfolio of clients such as individuals, families, entrepreneurs, charities and businesses. You will also have opportunities to be involved with business development. Your role will include;
- Working closely with clients and their other advisors to understand their needs and their business to ensure a seamless service.
- Project managing the implementation of tax advice provided by legal advisors ensuring the accurate preparation of claims, elections and inheritance tax returns.
- Ensuring the accurate preparation of trust and partnership accounts as well as personal and trust tax returns.
- Continually keeping up-to-date with relevant UK tax changes and supporting the technical development of junior colleagues.
- Ensuring clients are billed appropriately and meeting monthly and annual revenue targets.
- Supporting the Head of Private Wealth & Family Office with the development of the business; upselling and cross selling to existing clients and building new business pipelines which will include raising awareness of our team’s offering in the UK.
- Supporting the enhancement of our existing processes.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for experienced individuals with the following:
- Excellent people skills to build and retain strong relationships with colleagues, clients and intermediary feeder relationships.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide clear, concise explanations.
- Strong technical ability in the private client field, including detailed, up to date knowledge of UK capital gains tax, UK inheritance tax, UK income tax and the taxation of UK trusts.
- Experience of profitably running a client portfolio including responsibility for personal tax and trust tax compliance and trust accounts matters.
- Staff management experience.
- CTA or ACA qualified or qualified by experience with a number of years working within a Private Wealth, client facing environment.
- Membership of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) would be beneficial.
