Key Responsibilities: 

  • Overall responsibility for internal finance, including accurate and complete accounting records and systems of internal control, management information, budgeting and forecasting and statutory accounts
  • Coordinating the Internal Finance team (local and RDC) and making sure it is well connected to all other parts of the organisation
  • Providing the Market Finance Director and Country Leader with relevant and timely financial information and analysis
  • Ensuring adequate financial reporting and tax accounting for internal and external reporting purposes including amongst other:
    • Control of accurate booking of all journal entries and accounting documents into the accounting system
    • Preparation of FS, CIT, VAT and other statutory reports.
    • Group reporting package, IC reconciliation, IFRS adjustments
    • Budgeting & forecasting
    • Coordination with RDC and payroll provider
  • Developing finance function
  • Aligning and deploying financial systems and work processes to assure achieving business objectives
  • Optimisation of cash and debtors processes
  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality
  • Responsibility for a set of expert finance and non-finance roles, e.g. tax compliance in the organization; cash flow forecasting and management; ensuring internal control environment; protecting company assets, intellectual property, ethical and financial integrity and overseeing procurement activities

 

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance/Accounting, ACCA would be considered as an advantage
  • Experience in HGB
  • Between 7 and 10 years of relevant experience in in a matrix international environment
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at senior level
  • Thorough experience in business planning, strategic development, accounting and controlling and other Internal Finance areas
  • SME in areas of Accounting, Business Control, Tax, Treasury and Business Risk & Audit
  • Excellent German and English written and verbal communication skills
  • Building and maintaining relationships at all levels across the Group
  • Being mindful of cultural differences across a diverse organization
  • Considering synergies to optimise systems and improve efficiency of processes
  • Ability to make well-thought decisions considering a set of differentiated factors, also in a high-pressure environment
