Key Responsibilities
- As part of the second line of defence, you will be advising the first line (operational business teams) on risk management, directors liability risks, claims & litigation, and complex legal transactions.
- You will pro-actively advise on and support local management with the following legal topics: cosec, local client contracting (Local Service Agreements, Master Service Agreements, etc), strategic regulatory advice, procurement, legal entity management, various registrations, intercompany agreements, HR support, claims & litigation follow-up and remediating internal audit findings.
- You are co-responsible for the corporate housekeeping of the group structure, including the preparation and review of legal documentation inter alia relating to the decision making of TMF legal entities and intra-group transactions.
- You will assist in the review and preparation of contracts (i.e., intercompany agreements and supplier contracts) and any other legal documents under the supervision of the Market Head of Legal.
- You assist the Market Head of Legal with any governance related matters.
- As part of your activities, you will communicate directly with both external and internal clients, external advisors, banks and (tax) authorities.
- You provide general legal support to the Country Privacy Lead (CPL) and the Group Privacy office in ensuring compliance with the GDPR and other data protection laws.
- Work together with other stakeholders within the Global Legal Function to ensure delivery of the Global Legal Function’s projects and priorities.
Key Requirements
- A strong ambition to develop him or herself in an international corporate environment.
- A master’s degree in law (preferably corporate or notarial law).
- A serious interest in corporate law and contract law, who is self-confident and who’s at his/her best working in a fast-paced environment.
- Between 8-10 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent English and German written and verbal communications skills.
