TMF Colombia is looking to add a Bilingual Payroll Administrator with previous US or Canadian payroll experience to our team and support the North America region with internal payroll processes and perform the following activities:
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the overall payroll function for approximately 300 internal employees
  • Provide timely customer service support for questions and requests from employees
  • Oversee the accuracy of payroll liabilities for employee/employer federal and state income tax, social security taxes, unemployment and work closely with the Finance team
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and best practices
  • Maintain and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, bonuses,commissions, tax withholding, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions for the US (multi-state), Canada and the Caribbean Islands (includes Cayman Island and British Virgin Island).
  • Process accurate payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates in a timely manner
  • Prepare and maintain valid records and reports of payroll transactions
  • Responsible for the proper flow and maintenance of employee data in the payroll system
  • Apply for State, Local and Unemployment Payroll Tax IDs for tax filing and ensure proper set-up in payroll system
  • Oversee and manage the Workers’ Compensation classifications and audits for US, Canada and the Caribbean
  • Manage internal audits for US, Canadian and Caribbean payroll processes
     
  • Complete and submit Record of Employment’s for both Ontario and British Columbia
     
  • Produce reports to track and oversee the time off accruals and synchronize payroll system and HR system to reflect the same information
     
  • Manage year-end filings such as but not limited to the production of W2’s, T4’s, Employer Health Tax and worker’s compensation filings (Canada)
     
  • Track employee transaction such as enrollment, deferral changes, terminations, loan repayments, and semi-monthly 401k/RRSP contributions
     
  • Perform other payroll duties as needed
     
  • Responsible for Inter-company salary recharges

Key Requirements:

  • University degree in Public Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related areas.
  • Excellent English skills (B2+)
  • At least 1 year of previous experience processing US and/or Canadian payroll.
