Operational Excellence Director - Nordics and Western Europe

In this role, the successful candidate will need to:

  • Establish an operational strategy which enables business growth and ensures operational resilience
  • Deliver complex projects which improve client engagement, reduce our risk or reduce delivery cost
  • Build capability within delivery teams to leverage the Lean methodology, focussing on Visual Management, coaching & capacity planning
  • Partner with the IT function to innovate service delivery and embed new technology, championing this change to overcome resistance
  • Own  the 1st line of defense ensuring all controls are effective for ISAE3402, ISO27001, ERM & BCM

This role will report to the Group Head of Operational Excellence and will be a member of the Markets Management Team.

The role will focus on: improving Gross Margin, improving Client Satisfaction and ensuring operational controls are effective. Key responsibilities include:

Establish an operational strategy which enables business growth and ensures operational resilience

  • Operate as the ‘Operational Expert’ within a cross-functional management team and define a clear operational strategy
  • Effectively prioritise investment and improvement opportunity to deliver the business objectives
  • Ensure that standard operational KPIs are understood and utilised to inform decision making

Deliver complex projects which improve client engagement, reduce our risk or reduce delivery costs

  • Manage a team of 1-5 project managers and lean improvement specialists and a wider indirect team
  • Ensure all projects are tied to clear financial outcomes which will materialise in the P&L
  • Ensure all projects are well structured and delivering on time and to budget

Build capability within delivery teams to leverage the Lean methodology, focusing on Visual Management, coaching & capacity planning

  • Implement Lean tools into our largest delivery departments, coaching teams to build capability
  • Establish a ‘sustainability framework’ which ensures best practise is maintained
  • Build operational excellence communites across countriy borders to share best practise

Partner with the IT function to innovate service delivery and embed new technology, championing this change to overcome resistance

  • Work with technology teams to identify opportunities to implement or optimise technology
  • Support IT Teams throughout projects to ensure technology is embraced and standards are applied

Own the 1st line of defence ensuring all controls are effective for ISAE3402, ISO27001, ERM & BCM

  • Ensure all controls, tests and reports are followed in accordance with group guidance
  • Resolve issues with local delivery leads to overcome issues
