Key Responsibilities

A master data specialist typically has a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:

  • Monitoring trends in customer information to determine if changes are needed.
  • Creating data models that can be used to organize and structure data for easy retrieval and analysis.
  • Monitoring data quality to ensure that information is up to date and accurate.
  • Ensuring that all records are stored in a secure location to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Designing data structures and models to support business processes and operations.
  • Designing and implementing solutions that leverage big data technology.
  • Providing training on data management best practices to employees who use the system.
  • Developing reports that identify patterns in data to help organizations make decisions about current operations.
  • Establish and oversee global data governance policies and ensure alignment and consistency.
  • Using MDM suite of tools to design, develop, optimize and support MDM for various domains.
  • Ensure that Master Data Management key performance indicators (KPIs) are attained.
  • Working closely with functional and technical teams in developing and enforcing Master Data Design.
  • Leading/assisting in data migration activities for importing legacy data.

 

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in similar position (Preferably in a Shared Service environment).
  • University/College Degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent technical discipline.
  • Possesses strong analytical and critical thinking.
  • Good command of English (both verbal and written).
  • Office knowledge – very good excel skills.
  • Experience with process documentation will be an asset.
  • Good communication and analytical skills and ability to lead the team.
