Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a technical SME to explain the ETL specifications, clarifying questions related to ETL technology.
  • Mapping of the finalized data elements to the corresponding data field of the payroll engine.
  • Align the file transformation and integration solution with the local Alteryx team.
  • Develop ETL solutions to integrate the HRP PLATFORM into the local payroll system.
  • Implement data validation rules to check for accuracy and completeness before import.
  • Test import/ API integration to ensure data is correctly processed by the payroll engine.
  • Review and rectify any errors encountered.
  • Develop and optimize data pipelines using tools like Alteryx or Azure Data Factory or both.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, technical business analyst and Payroll Business Analyst to gather and translate business requirements into code.
  • Lead or support data transformation projects, ensuring alignment with key business objectives.
  • Conduct Unit Testing and data quality assurance and debugging of implemented source code.
  • Peer Review of existing source code
  • Provide professional support and input into delivering TMF's Transformation Service offering to prospective local and regional clients and guidance into the best fit to meet a client's specific requirements in collaboration with Business and Technical Stake Holders.
  • Maintain a common codebase and deliver new features and functionality.
  • Support the development and delivery of TMF Integration Service for clients utilizing other HCM solutions.
  • Undertake periodic reviews of solution optimization, document process improvements and work with other IT and Platform Services to roadmap the improvements.
  • Ensure transformation solutions are maintained to manage ongoing country deviations/global functionality enhancements.
  • Work with local offices and TMF IT development to build transformation of client integration files for processing by TMF Local Offices
  • Supports complex client technology transformation projects including leading the business requirement gathering and ownership of blueprinting phase.
  • Support technical SME on all transforming data to payroll platform solutions.
  • Ensure documentation and internal communications relating to the evolution of the HRP Integrations are complete, current, and appropriately shared.  This could include high-level training/webinars.
  • Track, escalate and support the resolution of transformation solution or API integration.
  • Share Knowledge & contribute to internal discussion forums with initiatives aimed at improving and promoting both the way TMF structures its HRP global offerings and the related global on-boarding process.

Key Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Azure Data Factory or Alteryx for data integration and transformation.
  • Experience in designing and implementing data integration solutions using Azure Data Factory or Alteryx or both.
  • Strong SQL skills ability to write complex queries.
  • Familiarity with the hierarchical structure of XML, including elements, attributes, and nesting.
  • Skills in XPath to navigate through elements and attributes in XML documents.
  • Understanding of XSLT for transforming XML documents into other formats.
  • Ability to validate XML documents against a defined schema (XSD) for data consistency and structure.
  • Experience with APIs that output data in XML format, including parsing and handling the data. Hands on experience with SOAP and REST API data integrations and API Tools.
  • Capability to transform XML data into other formats like JSON, CSV, or into a database.
  • Familiarity with Python, or C# for scripting in Azure environments.
  • Understanding of data warehousing, modelling, and ETL process design.
  • Ability to optimize ETL workflows and ensure data quality and security.
  • Experience with Azure services like Azure SQL Database, Blob Storage, and Data Lake.
  • Familiarity with Azure Data Factory's Mapping Data Flow for visual data transformation.
  • Knowledge of Azure-based or Alteryx ETL workflow, pipeline orchestration and monitoring.

Key knowledge and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-4 years of experience in ETL development, preferably with HRIS systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and project management abilities.
  • Certifications in AZURE Data Factory, or Alteryx, or relevant areas.
  • Experience in the HR or financial or professional services industries.
  •  Knowledge of additional ETL tools and technologies.
