About the position

Our global capital markets practice offers a range of administrative, agency, SPV/issuer and trustee services, across industries and clients. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Global Head and US based colleagues pitching TMF’s North Latin America capital markets capabilities to US law firms, banks and other intermediaries.
  • Assist with review and coordination of multi-jurisdictional transactions.
  • Assist Senior Counsel in creating guidelines for the onboarding and administration of transactions, including deal closing and signoff procedures, default and restructuring administration and litigation in Latin America.
  • Work with TMF’s Business Academy and Global Head to create and deploy capital markets training sessions for the group and wider firm audience.
  • Work with marketing to interface with global Capital Markets community, as well as coordinate and report on conference attendance and local marketing initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Global Head and other stakeholders to review strategy in Latin America.
  • Maintain a list of intermediaries located in North Latin America.
  • Assist Capital Markets Head of Operations with regional budget review.
  • Attend monthly meetings with capital markets community and serve as escalation point.
  • Keep track of new and ongoing developments in Latin America of relevance to the Capital Markets business.
  • Write articles and assist with panels and business development meetings, relating to capital markets and serve as a point of contact for applicable industry bodies (eg LSTA, LMA, TACT).
  • Represent the Capital Markets Group on calls and meetings as needed.

 

Key Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in the role or similar
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to interact with all company departments.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to create, implement and monitor procedures.
  • Some expertise in private equity funds, project finance, structured finance, and infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated legal and operational knowledge in these areas.
  • Strong network of contacts within the sector.
