About the role

The Business Development Senior Executive will be responsible for creating and closing local sales opportunities, bringing in new local business to the market and expanding existing customers within the market.

This individual will support inbound sales processes by providing with proposals to global sellers, while also upselling and cross selling to an existing client portfolio. Will be responsible of noncomplex renewal processes.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and optimize opportunities for business growth and development to ensure continued success and expansion of the business;
  • To develop, expand and build feeder network and effective relationships to improve opportunities for cross-referrals and local/ regional development;
  • Solution selling. Identify and uncover clients’ needs, concerns and objectives. Develop proposals that address such needs, concerns and objectives;
  • Work closely with in-country and international team members;
  • Contribute to marketing and thought leadership activities and build development plans for large client accounts;
  • Provide market feedback to regarding offerings, prospect needs and generate development ideas. Use knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s outstanding selling propositions and differentiators;
  • Improve existing relationships and arrange/ participate in internal and external initiatives;
  • Own the coordination and presentation of multi-jurisdictional sales proposals to international clients.

 

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Business Management;
  • Prior experience in international business;
  • Prior experience in sales required;
  • Prior experience working overseas would be an added advantage;
  • Validated network within the industry with a minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in a commercial environment or professional services firms;
  • Expertise in professional services and finance markets including client trends, technology and competitive landscape;
  • Ability to work in a team environment, jointly driving projects with other teammates;
  • Capable to lead sophisticated multi-jurisdictional deals involving multiple business lines;
  • General interest in international finance/capital markets and financial instruments;
  • Ambitious business focus, self-starter, diligent to details, standout colleague with phenomenal interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent Mandarin and English written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to build positive relationships with clients and prospective clients at all levels, along with the intermediaries who support them;
  • Able to “solution sell”, defined as the ability to listen to the client’s needs and adapting the sale to best meet those needs, understanding that this concept is more important than making a hard sell.
