The HR Generalist is responsible to support day-to-day operations of the HR department.  Takes care of all HR aspects related to the employee life-cycle. Key point of contact for the employee as an SME for Company policies, onboarding, employee performance – growth & development learning path, payroll related administration, absence management, and general labor conditions. The individual ensures accurate and up to date reporting through the applicable Global and Local HR systems 

As an HR Generalist you oversee the HR responsibilities and activities for the country. You collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to manage recruitment processes. You manage local employee relations and support training and development and specific projects related to your location.

The role as HR Generalist will be far from one-dimensional! You perform a wide variety of HR tasks and you use Human Resources Information Systems and other tools to generate reports and collaborate with the local payroll to ensure data quality and consistency. You also act as the main point of contact for employee questions on HR-related topics..

                                                                                                            

Key Responsibilities:

  • You work closely with the Business Partners and the other colleagues and you report to the HR Market Lead. You are the local person who implements and rolls out initiatives as designed.
  • Support HRBPs in personnel related changes such as lateral transfers, promotions,...
  • Responsible for the internship policy
  • Support employee engagement activities
  • Supporting employees and managers throughout the entire Performance Management cycle
  • Support in managing the process and operational activities in HR Systems & HR tools;
  • The Training & Development section is also part of your support servicing together with all initiatives shared by TMF centers of expertise
  • In addition, you are also jointly responsible for supporting numerous activities related to employee involvement
  • Perform administrative tasks for on-boarding, orientation of new employees and exit interviews
  • Administrates Group & Local benefits schemes, Pay Review Process and out of cycle compensation changes
  • In short, a very versatile HR function.

 

Job specific requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel), knowledge of HR systems is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate with different teams and HR partners.
  • The ability to build strong working relationships with the team, internal partners, stakeholders and suppliers to deliver a high quality of service;
  • High degree of resilience
  • Able to perform under pressure and with demanding deadlines
  • Languages skills: Fluent in Dutch, English (oral and written), French is a plus
  • Preferable to have 2/3 years of experience in HR Recruitment & Development or as an HR Generalist
  • Experience in an international environment is a plus;
  • Broad background knowledge of Belgian employment law.
