About the role
As a Senior Joint Venture Auditor you will be responsible for leading and participating in Joint Venture audits which includes Overhead, License, Logistics, Financial Vendor audits, protective (internal), measurement, tie-in, stock audit and evaluation as well as coordination/ad hoc support incoming Joint Venture audits. You will work in accordance with local Accounting and Tax legislation in line with internal client's regulations, as well in compliance with all internal procedures and standards.
Key Responsibilities
Joint Venture auditing, incoming/outgoing
Review/supervise bookkeeping of accounts assistants to ensure transactions are recorded correctly.
Reviewing reconciliations as necessary
Ensuring appropriate accounting controls are implemented and adhered to
Identifies and promotes opportunities to share knowledge.
Strives for high standards of delivery to clients to ensure targets are met.
Making entries into accounting system in accordance with accounting and tax regulations
Ability to handle issues, provide flexible options and recommendations, escalates as appropriate.
Reconciliation works relating to various accounts.
Prepare documentations and information around more complicated accounting entries.
Preparation of documents for audit purposes
Any other administrative tasks assigned by the Supervisors or Team Leader
Responsible for timely reporting to the client and tax authorities
Communicating with the client regarding wide range of operational issues
Keeping up to date with tax and accounting law changes
Attending client meetings
Key Requirements
Experience working in several accounting areas
Oil & Gas accounting (Joint Venture)
Experience in Visma, Capego and/or SAP is an advantage.
Ability to prioritize client works and keen to learn new things daily.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree (preferably in finance and accounting or audit, economics or related field)
Full proficiency of English and Norwegian
