About the role

As the Junior Payroll Associate, you will be helping our highly skilled payroll professionals in various tasks related to salary calculation. You will be responsible for a portfolio of corporate clients for whom TMF Croatia provides word class payroll services.

In this role you will gain valuable experience in payroll, develop your knowledge of payroll practices and build a strong foundation for a career in this field. 

The contract is on definite basis (at least 1 year) due to maternity leave replacement.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing services to medium-size clients under minimum supervision and to large-size clients under close supervision
  • Executing complementary subtasks and main payroll and/or HR admin tasks according to internal policies and processes and according to already in place Client specific payroll processes and procedures;
  • Preparing draft correspondence to clients and authorities concerning payroll agenda, prepare draft responses to client questions;
  • Submitting all output and reports for clients to Senior Payroll/HR Specialist or Payroll/HR Manager for approval;
  • Working in compliance with all company procedures and related standards of wor;
  • Keeping up to date with changes in payroll and labour legislation;
  • Supporting Payroll/HR Trainees on their basic, complementary subtasks and in all complicated tasks;
  • Any other tasks assigned by the Senior Payroll/HR Specialist or Manager.

 

About you

The successful candidate has a strong attention to detail and solid knowledge of payroll principles, tax regulations and employment laws. Is familiar with MS Excel functions and is able to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and prioritize work effectively. 

Ideally, you are meeting following hiring criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in economy or other related field;
  • Up to 2 years proven track record in payroll is preferred;
  • Proficiency in using MS Excel for data analysis and reporting;
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet payroll deadlines;
  • Excellent communications skills to interact with clients and explain payroll related matters effectively;
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other team members and stakeholders
