Objective of the Role:
The Assistant Manager at TMF Cayman responsible for helping to achieve the objectives set for the Corporate Services Department. This includes supporting TMF Cayman’s budget and key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring the quality and efficiency of the team, and motivating and developing team members to consistently meet customer expectations. Additionally, the Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in delivering TMF Cayman’s commercial strategy by building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and intermediaries, both locally and internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the delivery of TMF Cayman’s commercial strategy by establishing and maintaining strong relationships with prospective and existing clients and intermediaries in the Cayman Islands and International markets;
Manage the Corporate Services team and monitor daily team operations, provide guidance and support to team members, and implement best practices to enhance productivity and service standards;
Fostering a positive and collaborative team environment, encouraging continuous improvement and professional development among team members;
Act as an escalation point on complex and/or contentious transactional matters;
Ensure compliance with policies and procedures during the onboarding of new clients and the ongoing maintenance of existing clients. This includes supporting the transaction monitoring function and periodic reviews to maintain adherence to regulatory standards; and
Work closely with local and regional teams, as well as other global TMF offices, to identify and support opportunities for cross-sell and up-sell opportunities.
Duties:
Oversee the proper handling of all corporate service transactions, including incorporations, and liquidations;
Collaborate with the compliance department to ensure the appropriate handling of all compliance related matters;
Proactively communicate and coordinate with clients as well as all internal and external parties in-line with service expectations;
Manage the team's time recording in a timely manner to ensure appropriate chargeability and accurate invoicing. Provide support and guidance on effective timekeeping practices to minimize write-offs and maximize billable hours;
Organize the annual appraisal, target setting and promotion process for the team in close cooperation with the Head of Corporate Services and Human Resources. Conduct appraisals and target setting for the team;
Ensure the optimal use of available systems (Enate, Viewpoint, MS Office) in accordance with established procedures to enhance efficiency; and
Identify and report opportunities to improve system utilization and design to boost operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills:
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar corporate services role with at least five years’ experience. Proficiency in Viewpoint, CORIS, CAP, and REEFS is essential along with a solid understanding of Microsoft Office, strong attention to detail and a high level of professionalism. The candidate should demonstrate high ethical standards with excellent written and interpersonal skills. Extensive knowledge of relevant local laws and current regulatory requirements with a focus on Beneficial Ownership, AML Regulations and Economic Substance is required.
