Job Purpose

To maintain and develop quality of financial operations and services and to achieve continuing work efficiency such as ensuring accounts and/or bookkeeping are up to date, all aspects of day-to-day accounting and calculating/reporting of Net Asset Value (NAV). These areas include trust services and fund accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understanding and contribute to achieve team responsibilities, goals and budgets.
• Carrying out day-to-day transactions for trust clients; ensuring adherence to procedure and work flow.
• Updating client database in accordance with standard data convention; assist with maintaining data integrity.
• Assisting work teams to understand and comply with agreed work flows.
• Assist in periodic review of files ensuring due diligence documentation are in order, all transactions properly supported by documentation.
• Assist in ensuring trust accounts and/or bookkeeping are up to date; coordinating with client accounts department to clear any outstanding accounts issues on a timely basis
• Coordinating with Accounts Department to ensure that the tax returns and accounts are prepared and submitted accordingly
• Responsible in preparing a timely and accurate Net Assets Values (NAV), yields, distributions, and other fund accounting output for subsequent review.
• To record accurately, and in accordance with the policies and procedures, such accounting records as securities positions, corporate actions related, and journal entries.
• Reconcile various accounts, or reviewing reconciliations prepared by others, and promptly researching and correcting any variances.
• Prepare, reconcile and distribute reports to/from custodians and investment management.
• Collect, enter and extract data and undertake analysis as directed. Assist in timely preparation of client reports.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum a Bachelor's Degree / Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
• Sound knowledge of international and local accounting principles and practices and financial reporting.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Exposure to banking/legal background is an added advantage.
• Intermediate Excel skill set and willingness to learn cloud accounting system.
• Demonstrated self-starter with high initiative and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent analytical, consultative, communication and judgement skills.
• Strong communication.
