TMF Group Netherlands is seeking a detail-oriented FP&A Manager with strong analytical capabilities and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in transforming financial reporting and analyses processes, supporting both ad-hoc requests and regular reporting tasks. We’re looking for a candidate with a strong background in transaction services, private equity, or consulting who thrives in high-paced settings and can independently take on complex financial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Lead financial reporting efforts, ensuring timely delivery of key reports to support decision-making. You’ll focus on ad hoc financial questions from stakeholders, particularly around performance indicators, EBITDA improvements, and cost drivers.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Conduct variance analysis between budgets and actuals, focusing on critical areas such as personnel costs, margin components, and operational expenses. Answer questions related to cost drivers, inflation adjustments, and resource productivity.
- Data Consolidation & Process Development: Support on process improvements in data collection and reporting, specifically in Excel and OneStream and using MS Dynamics 365 (launching soon). This includes supporting on building datasets and analyses to ensure robust data availability for future monthly reports and other financial initiatives.
- Corporate Cost Management: Monitor corporate costs, analyse deviations, and communicate with department heads for corrective action. Your expertise will support efforts to control and understand fluctuations in staff costs and operational expenses (like IT costs).
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between financial teams and senior stakeholders, providing insights and answering critical financial questions. You will work closely with various departments, ensuring alignment on financial processes and goals.
Key requirements:
- Analytical Expertise: Ability to create clear, insightful analyses and financial models in Excel. You must be able to independently set up complex datasets and interpret financial trends.
- Accounting Knowledge: A solid understanding of accounting principles to understand and analyse financial data, though an accounting designation is not required.
- Problem Solving & Self-Management: Self-directed approach to addressing challenges in financial data and processes, with autonomy in work.
- Experience in High-Pace Environments: Ideally, experience in transaction services or private equity, accustomed to dynamic work settings and quick turnarounds.
- Tools: Proficiency in Excel is essential, with familiarity in ERP tools such as OneStream and MS Dynamics being advantageous.
