About the Role:

Senior  Engineer  Networks will be responsible for the continuity and stability of the IT services that TMF IT delivers to its internal customers.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • IT support for Network and related Infrastructure
  • Vendor Management for external support parties
  • Interface and handle short term Project execution and Management for internal/external stakeholders
  • Align with TMF IT/Network Vision and objectives as laid out by the SLT/Global Network Head
  • Available and willing to work in shifts across the time zones in support of Global Service Model
  • Available and willing to support ‘On-call Support’ beyond normal business/work hours to support Global support model of operations
  • Reports to Operations Lead and actively interacts with Engineering Lead
  • Depending on the location of the appointment, must be willing to travel/visit local office/Data Centre as necessary to extend physical ‘hand and Eyes’ support to remote technology teams for local IT infrastructure troubleshooting or MACD requests

Key Accountabilities: 

  • Implement, manage and troubleshoot network hardware including routers, switches, wireless, firewalls, WAN bandwidth/acceleration devices.
  • Support, administer and troubleshoot Cisco Meraki SDWAN/LAN/WiFi, AWS and Azure,
  • Administer, maintain and enhance the IT infrastructure environment from time to time
  • Good knowledge on IDS/IPS, centralized logging, NAC solution, reverse proxy and content filtering
  • Good knowledge on Barracuda/Fortinet Firewalls, load balancers, Proxy services
  • Good knowledge on VPN including SSL, GRE and IPSec., DNS, DHCP, IPAM solutions
  • Monitor, measure performance and costs through regular reporting and summaries of the systems including availability, usage and capacity
  • Assist in developing enterprise network solutions as per requirements, including the creation of functional requirement documents, project plans and detailed implementation plans
  • Conduct regular capacity monitoring and project requirements on the basis of trending data
  • Conduct and participate in various Audits in support of InfoSec governance and compliance
  • Support Local/Regional/Global IT network requirements and coordinate with Technical and Business Operations on issue resolution and support
  • Anticipate, mitigate, identify, respond to and resolve problems affecting network and system performance, efficiency and availability
  • Recommend, schedule and perform network improvements, upgrades and repairs
  • Lead and guide the L1 and L2 engineers in troubleshooting and working on Network infrastructure assessment, redesign, simplification, MACD activities
  • Join and lead the troubleshooting bridges in case of service degradations, Network unavailability or any Infrastructure related issues that may cause impact to business directly or indirectly
  • Work closely/collaborate with Network Engineering Leads and Architects on all technical requirements, in alignment with the Operations Leads at all times
  • Participate in meetings with Vendors to drive Problem Management, RCA, SLA compliance, Risks and Issues
  • Mentor the team and act as an escalation point to the junior team

  • Work under direct supervision and review of Global Network Head/Global Infra Service Head.
